Old Town Park

Envisioned as the “Town Square that never was,” Old Town Park is transforming an abandoned rail spur into a new gathering place for the citizens of Moore, Oklahoma. A collaborative project with TAP Architecture, the park includes a replica of the town’s original depot to house a coffee shop and artist’s studio.

Recognizing the power of art to activate public spaces, a large scale sculpture will be created for the town square.

Studies have shown that recovery can be expedited when there is direct interaction with nature, and this garden engages patients to walk along the garden loop, participate in group exercises, plant in raised garden beds, and commune with loved ones.

Constructed of metal and charred wood, FIRE:ESCAPE uses the intriguing geometry of stairs and landings to create a repetitive geometrical pattern.
Lighting, innovative design, and use of materials are elements that greatly contribute to the success signage that helps create an identity for the context that surrounds it.
